Plot / Review:
Jack and Whit search for, and find, Manuscript #2 "The Chronicles of the Destroyed". This story happens during the fall of 1945, during the last days of World War II. 11 year old Wade Mullens find himself in possession of "Top Secret" plans obtained from the Atomic Testing Facility in New Mexico. Terrified of being caught by the US Government or foreign spies, Wade attempts to destroy the plans, but before he can, he finds he's no longer in Odyssey, but in a strange world called Marus. An old man offers him Safety and Shelter, but Wade get curious about this new place and wanders off. Unsure who to trust, Wade finally gives the plans to a devious man bent on ruling the world. This amazingly powerful book teaches about Trust, Judgement for Sin, and the saving Power of God. This is undoubtedly the best Odyssey book yet. (Contributed by OdysseyFan)

Notes:

PARENTAL WARNING:  This book is somewhat disturbing.  I don't want to spoil the surprises for those who read it, but let's just say that it is shocking and rather graphic toward the end, especially for Adventures in Odyssey.  An immensely powerful story, but I would recommend reading along for any child under age 11 or so.

GOOF ALERT: On page 20 of this book, Wade Mullens' father is mentioned as Henry Mullens. However, in the Epilogue, it states his name as Ronald Mullens (page 165).  Additionally, In Annison's Risk (Passages 3), Jack and Whit explore some more historical records and clearly state several times that Wade's father's name is Ronald Mullens.
